Hello and Welcome to my
gallery.
My name is Lydia Dany Sutton. I am a professional artist. I have lived all
over Europe and the United States and currently reside in the USA
in the state of Washington. During my life abroad I had the opportunity to study art with many
wonderful masters. I have maintained a life-long interest in the ways of
other cultures. The indigenous people and animals frequently
show up in my work.
I was fortunate to have four legged friends enrich my life, no matter
were I lived.
During a flood in Holland, we lost Max our cat, but at the same time
we rescued a kitten. We called him Morris. When we moved to the USA we
could not leave him behind so he too became a world traveler. He lived to be 18 years old and understood three different
languages. What a cat!
A few years ago, a big black dog, a vagabond, with one brown, and one
sky blue eye walked into my life. He stayed, became my loyal companion
and my favorite model. In return, he owns my studio, my car and my
leather couch. And so it goes.
There were many cats and dogs in my life. At one time or another they
each walked into my backyard and stayed on. All were so beautiful and unique. I could not resist painting them.
I have created many commissioned animal portraits.
If you have ever shared that special relationship with a pet and would like
to keep that memory alive forever, I would be honored to create a
one of a kind oil or watercolor painting for you. My work is 100%
guaranteed. In many cases the pet has passed on and my greatest reward
is seeing the joy in peoples faces when they view the finished painting. Make it a gift
to yourself or a surprise for someone special.
I update the gallery frequently. Keep checking back to see my
newest work. I will soon add a link to my people portrait gallery for your
viewing pleasure.
Thank you for visiting.
