Pet Photograph Information
To make it the best possible art work I can create, I will need
several good clear photographs to get a feel for the character and
personality of your pet. Some close-up shots and some whole body poses
should be provided. If possible, use natural daylight near a window or
indirect light outside with the sun behind you. If the animals are not
used to being outside, flash is OK, but be aware that the natural color
of the fur and eyes will not be totally correct. Also different
surroundings and changing light will influence the color of the fur.
Before you send me the photos check the coloration and tell me which one
you think has the truest color. Photos are best shot from the
pet’s eye level, but sometimes an unusual angle is interesting too.
It will be easier if you have someone to help distract the animal with a
toy or treat. If you wish me to combine single shots into a group
portrait, or if your beloved pet is no longer with you and all you have
left are a few snaphots, I will have to see the photos first to
determine if they are suitable for the artwork.
